Toshodai-ji Temple

Toshodai-ji Temple was first built in 759 AD and is an ancient temple with profound historical and cultural value. The temple is surrounded by lush pine forests and has a quiet courtyard. There are many Buddhist buildings inside, among which the Golden Hall is the largest and renowned for its exquisite architecture.

It is not only an important sacred place of the Japanese Buddhist Ritsu School but also a historical witness of cultural exchanges between China and Japan. The buildings, Buddha statues, and scriptures inside the temple are all precious cultural relics, showcasing the superb architectural and artistic skills of that era in both China and Japan.
